The Local Organising Committee and the AfLIA Secretariat have identified the following Hotels and negotiated for discounted rates. Participants should contact the hotels directly to make their reservations. Please indicate when making the reservation that you are attending the AfLIA Conference in order to take advantage of the negotiated rates.

      1. Hotel Des Depute is in the city centre and about 10 km away from the airport.

Visa for Cameroon

  1. Participants from a country that has a Cameroonian Embassy should apply for their visas very early as they will not be availed the opportunity for Visa on Arrival.
  2. Participants who come from a country that has no Cameroonian Embassy will receive their Visa on Arrival at the Yaounde / Doula International Airport. It is important that participants register for the conference online at www.aflia.net  under AfLIA Conference 2017 link, providing all their passport details to enable the LOC to secure approvals for Visa On Arrival and send such approval to you before you can enter Cameroon on arrival. If no prior approval has been given to you, you will not be allowed to board the plane or if allowed, you will not be provided with a Visa on Arrival in Cameroon. Please NOTE THIS CAREFULLY and comply. Kindly also send a copy of your passport detail page to programofficer@aflia.net  with a copy to hrah@aflia.net  and not to the AfLIA conference webpage.

  • Yaounde Nsimalen International Airport is serviced by Air Cote D’Ivoire, Air France, ASKY Airlines , Brussels Airlines, CamAir-co, Ethiopian Airlines, Kenya Airways , Royal Air Maroc, Rwandair, Turkish Airlines
  • Douala International Airport is serviced by all the above mentioned airlines in addition to Africa’s Connection STP, Arik Air, CEIBA Intercontinental, Cronos Airlines, South African Airways and TAAG Angola Airlines,Trans Air Congo. Participants who land in Douala can connect with CamAir-co to Yaounde or travel by Luxurious buses to Yaounde, maximum 4 hours drive.
